Have you extracted the archive?

Right-click > Open With > Archive Utility this will extract the app from the zip archive.

Then Right-click > Open or Cmd + Double-click should bring the option to open it anyway.

Hello, it doesn't even give me the option to "open with".

That must be because the app is already extracted.

but minot sure how, i literally downloaded the file and clicked it. its still in the download folder.

Since I see the S4TI icon, it's extracted.

S4TI it's not a native mac app, so it doesn't come with an installer, but you can move it to your Applications folder if you want, just drag it or cut/paste it in your Applications folder.

 

Have you tried Right-Click > Open or Cmd + Double-Click to open the app?

I don't know what i did, but somehow i was able to open it....

Hello,

 

Since I updated my Mac to Catalina I can't open Tray Importer. When I double click on the icon I get a message that says "The application Sims4TrayImporter can't be opened." Could anyone please help with this?

Then Cmd+Double-Click on the .app

Yes, I got the same error message  I also tried chmod, but I couldn't get it to work, or I didn't do it right. I don't really know how to use Terminal.

@neieifep did you use your mac default archiver, others may not restore the execute permission required for the application to run.

 

To use chmod, you need the full path to S4TI.app: chmod +x <FullPathToApp>

Or move S4TI to your Applications folder and make sure it's named Sims4TrayImporter.app, then apply the chmod trick.

Yes, I used the mac default archiver. When I do the chmod trick I get the message in Terminal "No such file or directory"
