Well Installing the "Framework" on mac will not work, unless you are running the windows version through bootcamp or VB.

 

Have you installed mono for mac and restarted the mac after install? If not download and install the "Stable Version"

Hello @CaptBenson,

 

Although the message says 4.5.2, S4TI for Windows require .Net Framework 4.6 or better, so you will need to install it prior to install S4TI.

I'm not familiar with CrossOver so you'll have to search around to find how to install the latest .Net Framework in order that the installer can detect it.

All it require is a Registry Key that says that .Net Framework 4.6 or higher is installed.

Or you can simply download the mac port, despite it's a bit outdated, this one won't require a virtual machine but still require Mono for Mac. You can find it here: Sims 4 Tray Importer for Mac - Applications - LuniverSims

If you're still willing to try the Windows port on your Mac, I can remove the .Net warning so that the installation complete without complaining about the missing .Net Framework.
Here it is:

S4TI_unified_inst_201005-skipdotnettest.zip

You can skip the .Net Framework check by calling the installer with the parameter /skipdotnettest=1. But I'm not sure if CrossOver supports installing with parameters.
i.e.  S4TI_unified_inst.exe /skipdotnettest=1

YOU ARE A HERO! THANK-YOU!  IT WORKS PERFECTLY NOW AND ALTHOUGH I FEEL THICK AS A LAMPPOST, I APPRECIATE THE HELP!

However, it isn't recognising my CC properly.. if I click on an item it says it isn't installed and to check my CC go to preferences which I do and it come up with this. These are my game files and the location they are in, so why is my CC not showing up on the Tray properly? Am I doing something wrong?

The red icons on the left of the fields mean that something is wrong and since it cannot locate the game, displaying CCs is disabled.

Currently, there is an issue with the Wine version where the content path is not resolved properly.

So in the last field (*Data), try:
/users/{username}/Desktop/The Sims 4 Game/The Sims 4.app/drive_c/Program Files/The Sims 4
or
/users/{username}/Desktop/The Sims 4 Game/The Sims 4.app/Program Files/The Sims 4
or
/users/{username}/Desktop/The Sims 4 Game/The Sims 4.app/Contents

*Replace {username} by your account name.

As for the new issue, I have had those red Minus symbols for the last few updates and still have no issues.

One thing I know for sure, on the mac with Catalina, you MUST have the game .app in the Applications folder(never on the desktop) and all else MUST be in the Documents folder (where and how it is installed by origin).

This is all do to the "Security" measures imposed by Catalina.

Tray importer for mac has never worked with other locations without having issues.

To get the "Data" location I had to use the "Show Package Contents" method to get that path.

I have done all that you have mentioned above and it still comes up like this and not picking up the CC location. Does yours look like this too?

oh no hon, that’s just my mac that’s on dark mode it’s nothing to do with the app. 

 

idk what else to do i’ve tried everything you’ve said and the other person that suggested something said and i’ve even tried downloading TwistedMexi (sp) BE Mod and that doesn’t work either it’s stressing me out!

Umm....My mac IS on dark mode, yet tray importer does not go into dark mode........ Weird

 

And the latest version of TwistedMexi (sp) BE Mod is working great for me.

 

Is your sims 4 install fully updated?

 

I would suggest a full clean install of the game, something sounds off.

Yes there is a newer version, but I think you need to update Mono to enable the Dark Mode.

Ok got it working, needed the chmod +x trick. Almost all working good nowg good now.

 

But is there anyway to get the "Names" to show white like the rest not black, really hard to see until the family or lot is highlighted.

Yep, it's a pretty annoying glitch. 
The color is hard coded and there is no way to know if dark mode is enabled or not.

But since the file list seems to work, there but must a way to fix it
