Can't open S4TI on Mac Ventura 13.2.1

Hi there! I replied to a post but realized afterwards that it was an old thread - So I thought it'd be best to start a new one. Sorry if there's any confusion!
I have having a really difficult time getting S4TI to open on my Mac (Currently running Ventura 13.2.1). I just got a new macbook so I'm trying to reinstall - I was able to get it working using the FAQ page that's provided in this forum. But it doesn't seem to be working with the new Mac update or I may be doing something wrong. When I download S4TI and double click, I get "The application “TrayImporterEtoApp.Mac” can’t be opened." I just uninstalled and reinstalled - But previously tried renaming it as suggested and running all of the terminal codes with no luck. It won't open in Privacy & Security either to allow me to "open anyway". I also have the mosrt recent version of Mono installed as well. Just wondering if I can get some guidance & hopefully get it to work on my computer!

It's working! I did lots of searching through the forum and ended up installing the "S4TI Installer Package" and it immediately worked after installing that! Just in case anyone is having the same issue!

(I did do all of the chmod commands in terminal prior to that as well - So you may have to do that too).

Where did you install 'S4TI installer package" from?

I'm having the same issue but can't get any info, plus the old site just got hacked so I'm trying not to use that site but if I google info it just directs me to the hacked site

The new version doesn't require Mono anymore.

I've updated the FAQ for the newer versions of S4TI.

Yeah, they just decided to stole our site because they had nothing better to do.
We are working to remedy this situation, but it's harder than we thought since no authority seems to bother to help us nor seems to take it seriously.
For now it's better to stay away from the old site.
 

Tip: On Google you can use site:luniversims.fr <text to find> to force a search on luniversims.fr instead of luniversims[dot]com.

Hi there, does this version "TrayImporterEtoApp.Mac-Publish-20231216-beta" have a pkg installer? Because I can only find the mac application zip file which when I installed it keeps saying the application can't be opened.

@Starling I didn't have the time to find someone with a usable Mac to build a new installer.

 

Both will suffer from the same problem, at the end you still need to apply the chmod trick to make them work.

But I think it's easier with the installer since you only have to fix it once and it should still work when you update it.

The same should apply to the zip if after you have extracted the app you move the newly extracted files to a previously working version of S4TI.
