bug Won't start

Hi!

 

This file installs but the program doesn't open at all I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling/running as admin/unblocking my firewall. Nothing works. Is there a file I should be downloading before this hotfix?

Hello @JennSim,

What is your Windows version?

At least .Net Framework 4.6 is required to run S4TI.

Latest version may have dropped support for Vista and Windows 7 w/o service pack.

I have the latest .Net Framework (4.8) - I have Windows 10 64 bit

Right-click on the S4TI icon on your desktop, then select 'Open file location', find 's4ti-reset.bat' and double-click on it to reset all settings.

Try to start S4TI again.
If it fails, try 's4ti-safemode.bat' to start S4TI in safe mode.

 

If nothing work, restart your computer.

Tried it all - nothing worked  Is there anything else to do?

Check what happen in the Task Manager when you try to start S4TI.

 

Look for errors in the Event Viewer.

 

Run a system integrity check, open Command Prompt as admin then run sfc /scannow 

 

Check if your antivirus is blocking it.

Task manager didn't show anything different. Just nothing happens when I click on it other than windows asks me if I'm okay with the program making changes to my system,but no other movement and in task manager the program itself doesn't show up. Just a system prompt. Ran it as an administrator. Went through all the steps and a few more checking my regedit for errors. I don't know what's wrong. But thanks for your help. I'll try to continue looking for a solution.

Have your disabled some Windows features, like theming?
