Apologies if this topic has already been covered, but i was unable to find an answer. When replacing images for the gallery version of my sim, the top/1st image looks fine. When i open an image for the second/bottom gallery pic, the image is only showing part of the image. It doesnt matter if I open a 250x250 image, a 640x640 or 591x394 (size of the top image). I have tried rearranging my image, cutting pats of it off and everything i can think of. Is there something obvious I am missing here? (In the image below, I entered a 640x640 image - the arrow marked gallery is what I see when i look it up on the sims gallery. This happens no matter the size of image i try to open.) Thanks for any help!

Hello @LadyDeWinter,

It's not a bug but a feature! 🙂

S4TI only does a simple scaling to cover the drawing area, if you look in the game it will be even worst.

In the game gallery, portraits are zoomed to better see the face of the sim and the zoom factor changes depending on the age and type of the sim.

 

The first image is the gallery thumbnail while others are portraits.

But how do i fix it so the entire image shows? To me it looks the same in the sims gallery as it does in the arrow I marked gallery. I would like to see the entire image, not sections with all the heads cut out of the picture

In game, portraits will look like the one on the right. The difference is clearly visible here.

But if you are talking about the large preview, yep they will look about the same, except the bottom is covered by a semi transparent white bar.

 

The only workaround is to add bands on top and bottom of your image that will serve as guide and center the visible content between them.
