Hello.

I don't know if this has already been asked, but I was wondering if there is a way to export all the files at once and not one by one. I mean if you have lots of houses, lot and Sims, it would dave allot of time to export all the files. If it's not possible, I want to ask if this feature (export all at once) could be implemented in one of the near TrayImporter updates.

Hello @LuvMySimz,

This feature is still planned, it's the Backup option, but since I don't have a real roadmap I'll look if it's possible. 😉

First I need to unlock the multiselect.

And I'm just not sure if I'll pack everything in one big zip or just create a separate zip for each content. 🤔

I‘d say it would be better to zip each lot and family separatly like it is now.

just a way to multiselect in the near future would be great! ;)

The only downside with the separate archives is that you won't be able to select which CC to include and that overrides will be skipped.

It's also the one that will take the most place on disk, but will prevent to end up with a huge zip. 🤪

 

Multiselect is useless without a backup option, but soon it will be a reality! 😃

Speaking of CC. I read somewhere that the exported CC‘s are not sorted in its mods sub folders anymore like before. I wouldn‘t know because I haven‘t used the program in a long while. So, is that true? I hope not 🤔

Unless there is a bug all CCs preserve their original paths. Just checked and it still does.

 

Maybe the file was not created using Tray Importer?

A user wrote here somewhere a couple of month ago that when exporting Sims or houses with CC, that the sub folders where the CC‘s are in were not included anymore. That happened after a new update. Maybe it was just a glitch.

The current implementation of multiselect is not fully optimized and may be quite slow if you try to export many items at the same time. But I'll try to fix it later! 😉

Sometimes these are just some references left by the author or a mesh from a non-installed pack that S4TI cannot resolve.

Huh, I think you can edit your post in the first 5 30 min, after that the post is locked. 🤔

I'll try to get more info about this.

5 min is definitely too short and actually a bad idea, because people should be able to edit their post if they later (past 5 min.) realize some typo or missed to add something and want to edit their post. Would save spamming the forum. It should be a permanent option in my opinion and also an option to even delete a post like most other forums have.

 

Where is the edit button? There is no edit option, not even in the 5 min. time window. Just checked..

So that must be the first option ^^

Or it was a bug? In some previous versions not all resources parsing were up to date causing some weird results.

You're right and the prelimary info I got from one of our moderators is 30 min, but I'm still waiting for a reply from our admin to be sure.

Permanently enabling the Edit function could also lead to confusion if a post is completely rewritten once someone answered to it. 😵

 

The Edit button should be located at the bottom of the post.

Edit: The delays was of 30 min, but it should now be of 1 hour. 😉
What would the minimum delays before locking the posts ?
