Can't select new households

I am able open the tray important and  open lots, rooms, and older household from last year but for some reason whenever I try to open households that I've made recently it just closes out and I'm not sure how to fix this probelm

I was using the old one but now that I have installed the latest version that was released 5/28 I can’t get it to open at all. It says something about the file being damaged or corrupted. I’m using Mac by the way not sure if I stated that in the original post.

I checked the file and it seems fine.

 

Try to download it again, sometimes this happen.

Okay will do and just to be sure I’m just supposed to replace the old content file with the new one correct?

Yep, make sure to completely close Tray Importer from the Dock.

 

If not already done, try to restart your Mac just in case some files got corrupted.

Okay and it’s supposed to be able to work the version 10.13.5 of the Mac update?

Does the previous version still work?

The previous version works besides the fact that I can’t select anything in 2018 all of my older things work just fine but I’ve installed the new file and I’ve fixed so it doesn’t say it’s damaged anymore but for some reason my computer just won’t let it open. I contacted Apple just to make sure there wasn’t an issue with my computer blocking it for some reason and we didn’t find anything like that going on. The message I’m getting is “ the application sims4trayimporter cannot be opened”

Should I maybe try redownloading mono?

I think it's the GateKeeper thing blocking it. 

Open Finder, locate the app then right-click (hold-click) and select Open, this should fix it.

Creating a shortcut should too.

I have my gatekeeper permantly disable so that didn’t work either. I also tried to use the terminal command that’s on the download page and after I press enter it says “No such file or directory”

There’s isn’t anything important I needed to do with the tray importer I just wanted to have it but it seems like this new file and my computer are not meshing at all lol. If we can’t find a solution I don’t have a problem with waiting for another update.

I'm not a Mac user, but you don't need to disabled GateKeeper, just allow downloaded apps to run when asked for.

You need to replace the path to the one where Tray Importer is installed.

If Tray Importer is not installed in your /Applications folder, try to move it there to see if it solve the problem.

If you have downloaded Mono using the link provided in the Guide, try to download the latest version from here.
