CC showing up as missing

CC has started to show up as missing in the importer for me, even though I can use it in the game. I've tried downloading the beta, repairing the game, and removing cc to see if it is being caused by bad cc but nothing has worked. It only started doing this a few days ago and was fine until then.

Currently everything seems fine! 

 

Did the problem appears on newly created content or all of them?

 

Please run the latest beta, then run the Debug again.

If you have an example of the not working content with their CCs, you may try upload it or just the link (not the gallery one), so I can check it.

The problem now appears on all CC, however it started with just certain groups of items like all cc hair would show as missing, and then it was all hair and all clothes, etc.

Well everythings seem fine... can you post a screenshot showing the missing CCs?

 

 

Just a quick test, remove the cache file 'packages.cache' located in 'C:\ProgramData\TeameeVo\Sims 4 Tray Importer'.

Close Tray Importer, relaunch it and check if it make any differences.

You may also look in '%userprofile%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData\TeameeVo\Sims 4 Tray Importer', just in case the path got virtualized.

Ok, the file may has got corrupted.

 

I will add checks to prevent this from happening again.

I've tracked down the bug and it lie with the cache, the first time the cache is created or updated it works but will fail if you close S4TI. 

 

There's three workarounds :

1) Revert back to any versions priore to 1.5.3.
    You can select an older version by browsing the changelogs at bottom of the download page.

2) Removing the file 'packages.cache' located in 'C:\ProgramData\TeameeVo\Sims 4 Tray Importer'

    Or '%userprofile%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData\TeameeVo\Sims 4 Tray Importer' if the path got virtualized.

3) Creating a new folder in the Mods folder will force S4TI to refresh the cache.

 

Until I fix it, you have to do this each times you want to launch S4TI else it won't find all CCs or the meshes. 

 

Edit:

Latest beta should fix the missing CCs.

I've tryed everithing but still have that same problem. I' was able to find some of the cc but bunch of them is missing. I tryed downloading older versions, beta version but still no change.

Missing CCs are those that are not installed. S4TI know nothing about CC, but do show references so that you can ask the author "What is it?"  and/or "Where to find it?".

 

If you have an older version, the displayed list may be broken.

Any versions higher than 1.5.4 contains a fix while versions prior to 1.5.3 are unaffected.

im having the same issue. i can use the cc no problem in-game. but then i go to Tray Importer, and it shows red, as "missing".

Make sure you have the latest version.

 

Try to run FILE>Config Paths and make sure that Locale and InstallDir match your game installation.

 

If CCs still show as missing run the HELP>System Diagnostics tool.
