[Application]Sims 4 Tray Importer

Hello @Flameo,
Can you confirm that the number of .TRAYITEM files in "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Tray" is not the same as the number displayed at the bottom of the main window?

 The first screenshot of the tray importer says 64 items found yet when I go to the tray folder shown on the second screenshot I have 400+ files.

Sort the files by Type then select only the TRAYITEM files or use type:TRAYITEM in the search box (top right), this will give you the actual number of items.

64 items but the import do not show all the sims I have in game for the households that show in the importer still

Actually both seem to have the same number of items.

 

But yes, the game library may show more items since some premade contents are also visible.
S4TI only works with the Tray folder.

 

Contents downloaded from/uploaded to the Gallery may not show up in S4TI without a copy of the files in the Tray folder.

 

Do you have a screenshot of a missing Sim?

The sims missing are from households showing up on the importer. For example a single sim is on the importer and when I go into the game it is a whole family and it is sims I haven't uploaded or anything from the gallery because I made them.

So the preview show the whole household but selecting that household will only show 1 sim even if there is more than one.
This is definitely a bug!

Can you upload that household so I can take a look at what is causing the issue?

Make sure you have selected the right household, you may have more than one with the same same.

In the General view, the number of sim in the household is displayed just bellow the small thumbnails, on the right.
The number should show 4 sims.

In the Files view, you should see all the files related to this household.

You should have at least 8 files:
1 trayitem
1 household
2 hhi  (household portrait, small+medium)
4 sgi  (sim portrait, one per sim)
hhi and sgi are thumbnails, so you should be able to preview them.

 

By upload, I meant the files without the CC.

The one shown in S4TI is clearly a single sim household.

If you search for "Barber" do you have more than one result?

 

If you expanded the household after installing it in your game, you may have simply forgotten to re-save the household to include the new sims.

 

Look in FILE>App Reports and check for the line Checking Alternative Save Locations.
If you see another Sims 4 folder, you may just have selected the wrong game language in Settings.

I am having an issue with the importer on my Mac. Everything works fine except I cannot replace images for the gallery. The option is grayed out.

Hello @obeeycookie, the option to replace pictures was disabled because I need to rewrite some parts of the code.
