Tray importer for mac!!

Hello,

 

So i've been having this problems and many people who have macs are having this problem too. So when I download the tray importer for mac it opens and closes immediately and I really want to use it... also its says that I need to use Mono so there's no link so I searched for it and download it but anyway it didn't work! Another thing there was an update in macs cold MacOs Sierra so I think is that plz help

Yup, the download page is a bit messed, but all the links are in the French Guide.

Unfortunately, I don't own a Mac to check what's going wrong.

 

You may have better luck by simply launching the app from the terminal.

Check this post.

 

If you have upgraded to Sierra, there's is a test version for it.

For those who have been having trouble getting the Tray Importer to work:

Make sure that you install the UNIVERSAL Mono framework available here https://github.com/autopkg/MichalMMac-recipes/tree/master/MonoFramework.

The Mono Project website doesn't offer it from their download page anymore as seen below.

 

 

When I previously installed S4TI, the application would open, bounce in the Dock, and close. I've been trying for weeks to find some way to install it and this worked for me!

@deevo, I think that editing your installation guide to include the updated Mono Project site and the download link I supplied would be super helpful.

Yes, it works. It's the same one. I just didn't feel like browsing through the website's archives to find it last night.

@deevo So, it turns out that I am able to open the Tray Importer, but my CC doesn't load. I've edited the game folder location a few times, which didn't work. 

 

Also, I'm running the test version for Sierra that you released. The previous version doesn't work on Sierra with the proper Mono framework.

Does it load atleast the library ?

 

Was the contents created with the latest game version ?

 

Maybe running the app from the terminal will show what's wrong.

YES and it doesn't open. It show me an error.

Even setting the path using the dot button on the right doesn't work ?

 

Maybe the changes were not saved ?

Look for the file "Sims4.GameInfos.Settings.xml" in the app folder.

 

@QueencyMk Maybe the download got corrupted ?

@deevo I've edited the Sims4.GamesInfos.Settings.xml file using a few different locations. Using the dot button doesn't work.
