startessa Posted August 29, 2025 Posted August 29, 2025 Hi, I recently uploaded the newer version, and this is happening: When opening the program for the first time, it seemed to work well, but when wanting to change the default pictures, this error appeared: C:\Program Files\Microsoft OneDrive\...FileSyncShell.dll its not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f. Once that happens, when trying to reopen it another message appears: A problem has been detected since last start. The app hasnt closed properly. Starting it in Safe Mode can help to solve the problem. Then I open the app in such Safe Mode, and when trying to change the pictures again it crashes and closes. I have used this mod before and it never caused and issue. How can I solve this? I already performed scannow and DISM commands and still the same error happens. Quote
Team deevo Posted August 29, 2025 Team Posted August 29, 2025 Hello @startessa, But didn't have any issues loading thumbnails? Looks like you have an issue with OneDrive, try to uninstall OneDrive and install it again. Whenever the app didn't close properly it will offer the Safe Mode option. This mode is designed allow you to fix a setting that caused the app to crash. If you have more than enough available space and don't care that your files won't be accessible from other PCs, you can disable OneDrive. Your game will run faster anyway. Quote
startessa Posted August 29, 2025 Author Posted August 29, 2025 (edited) The thing is, I don't use OneDrive, none of my files are saved there, and this issue only happens when opening Tray Importer. Anyways, I reinstalled onedrive so now the first error isnt happening, still, the app crashes when trying to change the thumbnails. I dont know if it is related to this or no <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <configuration> <configSections> <sectionGroup name="userSettings"> <section name="Sims4.TrayImporterApp.Properties.Settings" type="System.Configuration.ClientSettingsSection, System, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089" allowExeDefinition="MachineToLocalUser" requirePermission="false" /> </sectionGroup> </configSections> <userSettings> <Sims4.TrayImporterApp.Properties.Settings> <setting name="MigrationRequired" serializeAs="String"> <value>False</value> </setting> <setting name="FormPosition" serializeAs="String"> <value>0|312,312,960,620|0,0,2560,1392</value> </setting> <setting name="BG" serializeAs="String"> <value>2</value> </setting> </Sims4.TrayImporterApp.Properties.Settings> </userSettings> </configuration> Edited August 29, 2025 by startessa Quote
Team deevo Posted August 29, 2025 Team Posted August 29, 2025 This is the same bug as here: Crashing when trying to replace a portrait At least you won't have anymore issue with OneDrive. That's probably how the game is detected that led to a call to sync the OneDrive folder and caused the error. Check the locations in the Settings dialog or run the App Reports. Quote
