tray importer 'find conflicts' not showing up bold or italic.

When I try to find CC under 'find conflicts' nothing is bold or italicized to identify whether its a changed file or a duplicate. I'm struggling with which ones which. Is it a setting or something? I'm on mac.

The thing is that both options mean duplicate, in bold you have the exact same contents, while in italic you have still the same contents but with one ore more changes.
If you don't see any of them, then they are potential conflicts but not necessary. You will need to check them, one by one, to make sure the conflicts are intentional or not.

But there may also be a bug on my side.

Yeah im not too sure  my game is extremely broken right now, and nothing is bolding or italicizing for me to figure it out. do you mean if its not showing either its a 'confliict' but not a problem to remove?

Duplicates are the less harmful of all, you just keep one of both.
Modified should also not be a problem, you try to keep the most recent one, then check if an update exists.

Other conflicts are probably what you are looking for, but some conflicts are expected, like when a recolor is added or a tuning is overridden or a better translation is created by someone else than the original creator.

 

You can begin by removing all conflicts, but keep them somewhere so that you can restore them later.
Once removed, if the game start acting normally, try to restore them as few as possible until the problem is back.

If the problem come back, you will know that it's one of these conflicts that causes the problem.

 

50/50 Method (same as above, but with a lot more files to handle)

If the game is still broken after removing every conflicts found, then is probably an outdated CC or mods.

The only way to fix it will be to remove every files in your Mods folder, then restoring them as few as possible until the problem is back.

There are good tutorials on that matter, just google for it.

 

Have you tried the batch fix tool in Sims 4 Studio, this can help resolve some problems is some cases?
