Hello,

I am running the tray importer for the first time to find broken custom content in my game. I have found the broken content but it is under the title 'Mods - Not installed' and does not have the option of showing the containing file or finding on google.

What does this mean and how can I find and remove this broken content?

I am very confused.

Thank you!

Sarah

Running on Windows 10 - fully updated

Hello @Saznotsoz,

Not installed means that you don't have the required CC.
Since there is no file, there is no info about the CC and that's why "Google" and "Show containing folder" are disabled.

You may have already deleted that CC or forgot to download it.

Hai,

So I have this issue but how do I fix it? The defect item is still showing up in the game but I cant find it anywhere.

I've tried to clear out CC that's broken in S4TI but it says mods not installed on the defect ones.

But I tried to go into the regedit thingy and changed the path to the bin folder where the TS4 launcher is. And then tried to remove it from S4TI but it still said mods not installed. I then tried to change the path in the program to the same one as I chose in the regedit thing but then everything disappeared. I really tried everything I could find in a different thread but nothing seems to work... Please help 😞

Hello @elliesims,

Modifying the registry is no longer needed, you just need to open FILE>Settings to change the game location.

Check the settings and make sure the game is properly configured.

You can also open FILE>App Reports and look for errors in the log.

Everything seem to work here!

I think your issue is that you are trying to delete something that is already deleted, Mods - No installed basically means deleted. 😉

But if it still appears in your game, it could be a default replacement and in that case, viewing the CC list may not be enough.

You may have deleted the CAS item without deleting the other files required by the broken CC.

Open TOOLS>Find Conflicts and look for overrides. 🤔

S4TI 1.22.7 is also available. 😉

Posté(e)

Ok there was a lot of overrides, conflicts and a few broken ones but I don't know what to do with this information haha.. 😐 Because the overrides it under "Client Delta build/Client Full build" followed by a number. Then I'll fix the new version heh, thanks!

ClientDeltaBuild?.package and ClientFullBuild?.package are located in the game folder, don't touch them, other attached files should be in the Mods folders.

You can also try to clear the cache in your save folder.

What kind of CC are you trying to fix?

Broken files may not always appears in the CC list. 😕

So that's the hair that doesn't show up in the CC list.
What is the issue about the clothing?

There was a bug in the previous version that could prevent some of them to show up in the CC list.
Did the new version show the same result?

I'm having a similar issue, I wonder if it was ever fixed for above. I think my problem is that I have The Sim Resource Download Manager for some, not for others, and the Tray Importer can't read those...which means the broken hair and the 2 broken shirts (likely mesh related, but I obviously can't find them) will have to be a manual fix. 😭

Hello @potaslug,
So you can dress your sim with the broken hair and the broken shirts, but once saved in your library they won't show up at all in CC list of S4TI? 🤔

To fix this I will need a sim where the issue is occurring and a CC that should be listed but isn't.

No, sorry, I was referring to not finding the broken CC: I can't find the broken CC because the file can't be found (red, says not installed) and though I've gone over the pathways to make sure, obviously S4TI can't find the CC in TSR Download Manager. Or, I assume that's the case.

Have you come across this issue at all?

  • Team
Posté(e)

Yep, if they are not in your Mods folder, S4TI won't find them.
Have you tried to add the TSRDM folder to the custom folders in S4TI? 🤔

No, I don't use TSRDM. 😕

@potaslug If you mean the Mods folder is not linked at all, open File>Settings then change the game location.
While the library will work, if the game is not configured properly, the search for CC will be disabled.

If you still have trouble, open App Reports then post the result.
