CC appears in red and does not show name or location

Have you tried to change Install Dir to /Users/greta/Applications/The Sims 4.app, should be the second option in the dropdown?

No it doesn't come up

~/ is actually /Users/<username> but is broken in versions prior to 20181224.

Previous versions do not translate ~/ which cause issues when trying to access the path, version 20181224 should fix that and show the full path.

You can also use the <Browse..> option to manually select the path.

I'm also having this problem with a few of my cc hairs. I know the last reply to this post was in 2018, but it's frustrating and I can't figure out how to fix it. the broken cc shows up in game, but it doesn't work, and all i want to do is find and delete it

Hello @elf_zhyza,
Open the Settings and make sure everything are ok.

You can also open the App Reports to see if there is some errors.

 

If you still cannot fix your issue, post a screenshot and the App Repport's log.

 

As for the error, I cannot reproduce it. What were you doing before getting that error?
