hi! im running into a problem as well. Im on macOS sierra 10.12 and I have downloaded tray importer onto my mac. I can open it, but nothing shows up. I go into set game path and click the dots and set my game path. there comes up with an error. "setting not saved. Error occurred whilst saving." so i tried to manually set it by editing the Sims4.GameInfos.Settings.xml file and changing the language, install directory, AND the executable path. i would save it, then open the tray importer again it it would still not work. Nothing is there and the import/export buttons are greyed out.

Hi @Kaiirin,

Did you change the paths using the Config Paths box? :ermm:

 

Look like a bug, could you upload or paste the content of the Sims4.GameInfos.Settings.xml file located here C:\ProgramData\TeameeVo\Sims 4 Tray Importer\.

 

Try this:

  • Open File>Config Paths then click Auto ou check Auto Detect to see if it fix the problem.

 

Else here's a temp fix:

  • Download: s4_regfix.zip
    This will stop to use the broken Sims4.GameInfos.Settings.xml file.
    Note: If the game is running in 32-bit mode and Windows isn't 64-bit this may not work.
    - Download the file above
    - Extract s4_regfix.reg from the zip archive
    - Then double-click on s4_regfix.reg to append the content to the registry.
    - Restart S4TI to see if it works

Hello @Ana Franklin,

There is bug that causes the Diagnostic to fail. ☹️

Restart S4TI and when prompted dismiss the Config box by clicking Cancel or by closing the box, clicking Ok will generate an internal error and the Diagnostic will fail to complete.

Now try to run the Diagnostic again.

HELP>System Diagnostic is the right one. 😉

What I was trying to say is that there is a bug in the current version that causes an incomplete report when closing the Config Paths by clicking on Ok just before launching the System Diagnostic. ☹️

So when the Config Paths box open, just click Cancel then launch the System Diagnostic and you should get the full report. 

This bug will be fixed for the next release. 😉

 

If you still have problem, take a screenshot of the Config Paths box.

Make sure the Documents path points to your default Documents folder and that it doesn't contain 'Electronic Arts'.

ex: C:\Users\<username>\Documents
