Open the Preferences panel and change the game path.

hello i did all the steps but it will open and the app icon will jump 2 times the close on its own

Hi,

 

the app opens fine on my MacBook but for some reason it won't load any of my sims so the app is just blank. I tried to set the game path in 'preferences' but when I do it has a  sign next to language, game path and game data. I put in the correct paths (i'm pretty sure) and then it tells me to restart the app to apply changes. But when I do, nothing loads. What can I do to fix this? Im on Mac sequoia 15.7.1

@nightocean The path should be The Sims 4.app itself, the default path is /Applications/The Sims 4.app.
The means that some files are missing in the selected path, indicating that the path may be incorrect.

Just spent too much time because i misred and i was trying to install the arm version as i am on a m4 mac... looked to me that it was logical but actually it's not the right versrion.
So all people who have problems to install, just install the x86 version on your arm mac.
Now it works like a charm, thank you.

I'm using Tray Importer 1.25.3.0 on Mac with Apple M1 chip, macOS Sequoia 15.2.

The "Replace Image" button is greyed out for all lot files (File TRAY type). I also tried using File → Import, but all image files remain inactive and cannot be selected (I tried converting them to PNG 256x256 format as suggested, but it didn't help).

I've already:

• Installed .NET 6.0.36 Runtime (macOS x64)
• Set proper permissions with chmod 755 on Tray folder
• Tried different lots - same issue with all of them
• Followed all installation instructions from the forum thread

Is this a known bug in the Mac version? Is there a workaround or could you provide a link to an older working version (like 1.25.2.9)?

This is a breaking change due to the migration from Mono to .NET Core, the latter doesn't have a compatible image converter, but even the Mono port was unstable.
