are you downloading the right .NET. file shown in the image i shared ? make sure it is the x64 for macOS under .NET. runtime 6.0.36, download it, open it, then download TS4 TI, chmod it, allow your mac access to it, and it should work !

The Oops! error is just the title, the important part is bellow.
If you have the exact same message which says "Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow", that just means you are still running an older version.

• Make sure Tray Importer doesn't appear in the Dock.
• Download the update posted in the first message of this thread.
• Don't forget to install .NET Runtime too.
• Remove the old version then install (unzip) the new version.
  Or
  Use the installer which should update the previous version and you won't need to apply the chmod if it was applied successfully on the old version.
• Apply chmod if needed
• Launch S4TI

Hello/ Please help

 

I'm having trouble getting the tray importer to work for my MacBook. I tried following the video posted but once I get to that part in the privacy settings , where you allow tray importer access or something, my MacBook doesn't look the same way, so I can't finish whatever needs to be done. The bottom of mine says "allow applications from" and the selection is just App Store or App Store & known developer, which I have seen to the latter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From what I've seen on google, the option should appear between "Allow applications from" and "FileVault".
The message should appear after the chmod was applied and tried to open the app.

okay I re-tried it and it popped up! but now I'm at this new part, I tried to save and it came up with "the application needs to be reopened to work"or something like that, so I clicked yes but it just re-opened this exact pop up again.

If I remember the message will vanish after a few minute.

 

Make sure the chmod didn't return any error message.

Try to open the app by double-clicking on the app while pressing the Cmd (⌘) key.

or

While holding the Cmd (⌘) key, right-click on the app then click Open.
This should bring the message in the security section.

If this doesn't work, start over:
Delete the app

Extract the app from the zip archive or use the installer

Apply the chmod

Open the app

I've tried all these fixes in the comments and i'm still not having any luck downloading. For starters, my download is titlted s4tl_unified_inst.exe it's not downloading with the tray importer title and is only giving me these three docs once downloaded and unzipped. Pleaseee help.

S4TI is the short name for Sims 4 Tray Importer.

I think I may have soup for brains, the instructions are soo confusing to me and I still can't get it to open. I have no idea what im doing wrong but none of the options im getting look anything like the photos of the steps others have shared. This is the message I get after the chmod demand in terminal and trying top open the app. 

 

Edit: Nevermind, my soup brains finally worked!!! Thanks so much for your help, off to watch youtube videos on how to use it!

I have a M1 Mac and it's working for me, however when I click on CC my mouse keeps loading and then it'll say "tray importer not responding". Then I have to force quit the application. I need help, I'm new to this.

Hello @Unique,
Depending on the number of CC you have in your Mods folder it can take a while.
- How much CCs in your Mods folder?
- How long did you wait?
- Does it happen every time?

 

Open the App Reports from the Tray Importer menu next to the Apple logo.

Opening the launcher with Terminal will display some debugging info.
- Right-click the TrayImporterEtoApp.Mac.app
  - In the menu, click Open package
- Navigate to Contents/MacOS
- Right-click on S4TI_launcherMac
  - In the menu, click Open with > Terminal

Okay so I have set it all up and even used it to get rid of some bad cc's but now it is saying that searching for them is not available. I go to my preferences and everything looks like it should be working fine. Ps I am on a Mac

@lingsauce4 Since the library and your CCs are loading, the path to your Saves is good. But the path to the game is also needed, mainly to find overrides and loading translations.
This happens when the game location is not the default one or if it's custom version.
You can open Tray Importer > App Reports to confirm that there is an error with one of the paths.
