tray importer cannot find game data location - cannot use the app to delete cc

I'm on the latest mac system version. For the game data location, I used the path /Applications/The Sims 4/Contents/SharedSupport/prefix/drive_c/Program Files/The Sims 4/ . I assume the game data can be found in a folder that's here called "Data". If I leave the "*Data" field empty, tray importer works fine, but I downloaded the application to easily delete the excess cc that I have, which I'm going to assume without the game files I cannot do since it gives me a "Searching for CC is currently not available" error. Not too sure what exactly I'm doing wrong. I've also done /Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/ and that didn't work either. Absolutely stumped. Please help.

Hello saiyonara,
The Wine version is not officially supported put it should work once you select the correct folder that mimic the Contents folder.

 

Have you tried to clear the Data field then reselect the Game location?

Sometime you have to do it twice for S4TI to select the correct subfolder.

 

Typically for that config, the "drive_c" folder is located in the Contents folder or the Contents/Resources folder.

So try "/Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/drive_c/Program Files/The Sims 4" or "/Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Resources/drive_c/Program Files/The Sims 4" (without the quotes).

Replace /Applications/The Sims 4.app with what is defined in the Game fields.

 

While this should work, S4TI may have a hard time figuring out which language to chose and may default to English.
So you may have to manually select the actual game language.
This is important if your game is configured to display text in a different language than English because the save folder can be localized.

 

If you still have problems, open the App Reports for more information.

I have this same issue and cannot connect the right game path or data path. Please help!
